Get help

There are three addresses, and writing to the right one gets you an answer sooner. This page is for anyone who is stuck or has a question that this guide does not answer.

Who to write to

Write toFor
support@choirmastercms.comA site you already have: exports of your data, closing your account, a site that is paused, moving a licence key to another website, disconnecting Stripe, a domain that will not connect, or anything that is not working
sales@choirmastercms.comQuestions before you sign up, the Standard (self-hosted) edition, the setup and migration package, and paying by cheque or bank transfer
legal@choirmastercms.comPermission requests under the licence, notices, and requests about personal information

Write to support from the address you sign in to your account with. We can then tell that the message is from the account holder.

Use the contact page

The contact page at choirmastercms.com/contact also offers a form, where it is switched on. It asks for Your name, Your email address, Your choir, What is it about? and Your message (up to 5,000 characters), and has a check that you are a person. Choose the topic from:

  • A question before signing up
  • The Standard (self-hosted) edition
  • The setup and migration package
  • Something else

The form goes to our sales address. For help with a site you already have, write to support instead; the page says so at its foot.

If the form is not shown, the page gives the sales address in its place.

Book a call

If you would rather talk, the contact page has a link to book a 30-minute call. It is on the same page, in the first paragraph.

What to put in a request

A request with these four things can usually be answered the first time:

  1. Which site. Its web address, such as harmony.cmcms.org, and the domain of your own if it has one.
  2. What you were trying to do. For example "adding a concert" or "connecting our domain".
  3. What happened. Copy the message exactly as it appears on screen, including its wording in quotation marks.
  4. What you have tried. For example "the link in the email had expired".

A picture of the screen helps a great deal. Never send a password or an app password. Nobody at Choir Master CMS needs one.

Who gets support

You haveSupport
A site we hostYes: write to support
A self-hosted Standard edition licenceWhat was described when you bought it. The terms say support, "if any", is limited to that.
A self-hosted Community edition licenceNone. The licence says the Community edition comes without support or updates of any kind.

The Free hosted plan has no warranty or service commitment, but you can still write to us. See What each plan includes and Plans and editions compared.
